Reading Express: 2009 AIFA National Champions

The Reading Express' move to the IFL in 2011 will bring three new opponents to the Sovereign Center.  The Bloomington Extreme will vist March 11, the Arizona Adrenaline come March 20, and the Fairbanks Grizzlies will be in town May 15.  In divisional match-ups, Express fans will see the Lehigh Valley Steelhawks and the Richmond Revolution.  Now, some fans may recognize the Arizona Adrenaline moniker from the 2008 season.  It's a new team, same name.

As we venture down the IFL road, we can't help but look back at a 64-20 record and the 2009 AIFA National Championship in the rearview.  There has been a great amount of success and memories during the team's first five years.  If you came to an Express game during those years, chances are you saw Reading chalk up a win.  From rivalries with Baltimore and Erie, to one-off games with Florence and Montgomery, the Express always stood a good chance for victory.
