IFL Unveils New Ball Scheme for 2012

Longtime Express fans will notice something of a throwback next season when the IFL kicks off its 2012 season.  In similar fashion to the red-white-and-blue balls the AIFA used for years, the IFL will implement a multi-colored scheme for its official footballs next season.

The brown-and-oatmeal colored balls are a break for the traditional brown footballs that the IFL has used in the past.  The change was made to create a ball that is easier to pick up in the lights of teams' home arenas.  The rotating panels of brown and oatmeal look best when the balls in the air.  In a spiral, the ball is visually appealing and, hopefully, will be easier to pull down for a reception (or interception).

The IFL unveiled the new ball at League Meetings in Chicago this past weekend.  The league ball partner continues to be Baden Sports.

Seriously, folks, this ball makes a pretty spiral.  So pretty that you'll want to see it live and in person.  Reading Express season-tickets are on sale now.  Contact us at 610.372.7277, or click here for more information, if you're interested in season tickets.
